Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that Eugene Kaspersky, founder and CEO of the company, will participate in the first World Cyber Security Summit (WCSS), held by the International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber-Terrorism (IMPACT), the global initiative against cyber-terrorism. The WCSS will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on May 20-23, 2008.
The World Cyber Security Summit is a ministerial-level forum for government ministers, industry leaders, technology luminaries and international cyber-security experts from more than 40 countries. As the official launch event for the global IMPACT initiative, the WCSS represents the largest gathering ever on cyber-terrorism and security.
The first IMPACT Summit will be chaired by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and includes government representatives from more than 40 countries, as well as top managers of the world’s major cyber-security companies and prominent expert members of IMPACT’s International Advisory Board (IAB). Eugene Kaspersky will share his vision on the global security landscape, current trends in the fight against global cybercrime and emerging threats that the world will face in the nearest future.
